Core Values

Biblical Authenticity
We want to be authentic followers of Jesus Christ through the study and application of God’s Word to our lives. We value, as Jesus stated, that this genuineness involves our "heart, soul and mind," (Matthew 22:37-39). We value the above defined authenticity even above other worthy objectives such as excellence, efficiency, creativity, uniqueness, and numerical growth.

Biblical Love
We embrace Jesus’ command to love and Jesus’ example of love in our everyday lives, (Matthew 22:37-39). This involves unwavering commitment to one another, those outside our church, and even our enemies. As I John 4:16 says, "…God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him." So we value love because we value God. Also by this love demonstrated in us, others will see God in us, (I John 4:12 and John 13:34-35).

Biblical Relationships
New Testament Christianity is about a relationship with God that influences all other relationships with people, (Matthew 22:37-39). The relationship of people to God and one another is the basis for our discipleship, evangelism, and world missions. We believe, therefore, that relationship development with God and others on the basis of Scriptural teaching is to be valued supremely by all in our church. Without such a value we become an organization of rules, regulations, and Pharisaical teaching — not the true church of God.
